PRISON-GUARDING

Prison-guarding or in Czech “Bachařina” is the physical result of my diploma project. The book provides its audience with an insight into the life of a young employee of the Czech Prison Service. The plot of the book is presented in the form of a narrative by the central character towards the author of the book, who is also his friend. Through the story, we learn in a subjective and informal way about what it is like to exist in a Czech prison from the perspective of an employee and how such a job, along with its circumstances, affects people's everyday lives and world view.
